SaLo

I think the most astounding thing about SaLo is the connection with nature, to which you simply can’t help but succumb… being there, you find yourself quickly absorbed by a natural rhythm – the ocean at your feet, stretching to the horizon, the forest, the monkeys, the raptors flying overhead.

       – Patrick Dillon

SaLo is a property designed and built by Panamanian architect, Patrick Dillon, on the Pacific coast of Veraguas and embedded in the surrounding nature. The site emerged from the ocean 70 million years ago, making it one of the oldest rock formations in Panama.

This is an open and flexible structure, with solar energy and water collection systems; designed around a common space and kitchen.

Several platforms are used to sleep, contemplate the view, the abundant nature and the space full of potential. Upon arrival, you feel like you have landed and could let your inspiration fly.

The nearest communities are: El Arrimadero, El Banco and Madre Vieja, where people live, mostly, from the land and the sea: cattle ranching, fishing and tourism. In addition, there are the islands of Gobernadora, Cébaco and Coiba National Park.
