Tejiendo Corredores / Weaving Corridors at the MAC Panama, part of the exhibition Cumulus: 10+ years of Estudio Nuboso
Tejiendo Corredores is a series of monthly gatherings – organized by Estudio Nuboso, Almanaque Azul and MAC Panama – that seeks, through dynamics of interaction and ‘storytelling’ among participants, to amplify the voices of those active in the knowledge and care of the territory and to offer a time and space dedicated to the possibility of finding allies, resonances or collaborators. We gather in the Panarte Room of the MAC between two large backdrops, two maps. On the one hand, the Map of Nature-Culture Corridors, which allows us to visualize the current situation of Panama in terms of biological connectivity, protection, risks and people active in the territory. On the other, the Sistema de Ecos, a symbolic and dreamlike map that invites us to imagine relationships, intentions and possibilities; and on which we propose to leave a physical trace -with threads and fabric- of the weave / link that we generate from the conversations during each session.
The meetings are organized in 3 parts: first we will listen to 2 or 3 guests tell us about their experiences or projects, then we will facilitate a large space for open listening, dialogue and exchange among all participants, which will be the heart of the meeting. Finally, all together, using our hands and through simple stitching, we will leave a trace of our conversation on the Sistema de Ecos map
We invite all those interested or challenged by these issues to participate in the meetings, to imagine gestures for the connectivity of life, to weave lines of mutual support in order to activate corridors of solidarity in Panama and beyond.
